Adding a video to a tour

Updated by Corine Barbazanges

There are two ways to add a video to a tour or a stop, depending on whether you own it or not.

1. You own the video file

If you own the video file and have the necessary rights to use it:

  1. Head to the 2. Stops tab.
  2. Choose the stop you want to add a video to.
  3. Click the Add a video button and follow the step-by-step instructions.

The video will be an integral part of your tour. After downloading it, the user will be able to watch the video without an internet connection.

Adding “embedded” videos can prolong the time required to publish and download a tour significantly.

2. You do not own the video file, it is available on the internet

In this case, you can add a link to your tour that will allow the users to watch the video while inside the GuidiGO application. They will have to be connected to the internet in order to access it.

a. The video relates to a particular stop

  1. Head to the 2. Stops tab.
  2. Choose the stop you want to add a video to.
  3. Add a YouTube (or other) link to the Description field.

b. The video relates to the entire tour

  1. Head to the 1. Overview tab.
  2. In the Additional Tour Information section, tick the Videos box
  3. Complete the fields.
